Pura Organic Agro Tech Ltd in Nakasongola is seeking a Production Incharge to support and enhance cassava starch and flour manufacturing. This middle-management role reports to the Production Manager and offers an exciting opportunity for operational leadership development.
Key Responsibilities:
â Collaborate on production planning and oversee the cassava starch and flour production cycle.
â Monitor process parameters and propose enhancements to optimize effiency and minimize waste.
â Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure adherence to quality standards and maintain accurate production logs.
â Assist in scheduling preventive maintenance and troubleshooting machinery issues.
â Mentor shift supervisors and operators, enforce safety protocols, and assist with training.
â Coordinate with managers to secure cassava root supply and track inventory.
â Generate daily and weekly shift reports.
Qualifications:
â Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
â 8-12 years of progressive experience in processing or manufacturing, with 4-6 years in a senior supervisory role.
â Deep knowledge of starch and flour manufacturing processes, industrial machinery, quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001), and occupational health and safety regulations.
â Strong operational leadership, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
â Must be based in Nakasongola and willing to work flexible hours/shifts.
