Responsibilities or duties A. Leadership & Governance - Provide overall leadership and direction to the institute in line with its mission, Islamic values, and TVET regulations.
- Coordinate and implement the Instituteâs strategic plan.
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Education & Sports (MoES), DIT, UVQF, and TVET Act requirements.
- Prepare and present reports to the Board of Governors.
B. Academic & Training Management - Oversee curriculum implementation across all vocational programs.
- Ensure quality teaching, assessment, and training delivery per DIT/UNEB/TVET standards.
- Supervise development of schemes of work, timetables, and instructional materials.
- Promote student-centered and competency-based learning approaches.
- Monitor student performance and discipline.
C. Staff Management - Develop staff capacity through training, mentorship, and performance reviews.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and integrity.
E. Student Affairs & Discipline - Oversee student admissions, welfare, discipline, and guidance services.
- Promote Islamic conduct, moral character, and respect within the institute.
- Handle disciplines matters fairly, firmly, and within policy guidelines.
F. Community & Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with parents, guardians, local leadership, and community stakeholders.
- Strengthen partnerships with employers, industry partners, NGOs, and government agencies.
- Represent the institute at official events, TVET forums, and MoES engagements.
G. Institutional Development & Sustainability - Mobilize resources to support institute growth (equipment, workshops, scholarships).
- Lead marketing and visibility initiatives to increase enrollment.
- Promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and employability skills.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in education, Technical/Vocational Education, or related field.
- Masterâs degree is an added advantage
- At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a vocational, secondary, or tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Islamic values and ability to uphold them.
- Strong understanding of TVET Act, DIT assessments, UVQF levels, and MoES regulations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Integrity, accountability, and adherence to Islamic ethics.
- Financial literacy and administrative competence.
- Ability to manage staff, students, and diverse stakeholders.

Tenure & Terms of Service - A renewable contract based on performance.
- Remuneration in accordance with institutional policy and applicable regulations.
