Responsibilities or duties: - Developing plans for taking samples and testing the quality of water, fish, and fish products
- Implementing procedures for laboratory testing of samples before certification
- Reviewing and updating laboratory manuals
- Analysing samples and keeping records of analysis reports
- Providing technical support for procurement of consumables
- Preparing reports and following up on laboratory accreditation
- Carrying out any incidental work relating to Uganda Fisheries Laboratory
Qualifications or requirements: - Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries, Zoology, or Aquatic Biology/Science
- Masters Degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University/Institution
- Additional qualification in Laboratory Science will be an added advantage
Experience needed: Minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience in Fisheries Management and Development, with three (3) years at the level of Senior Fisheries Officer in Government - Developing plans for taking samples and testing the quality of water, fish, and fish products

- Providing technical support for procurement of consumables
