Preform Hopper Loader Details Closing Date: 2026/10/29 Reference Number: DALI-2026-0058 Job Title: Preform Hopper Loader Job Category: Packaging Job Type: Full Time Location, Town / City: Nakasongola Job Description Transfer boxed plastic preforms into automated blow molding supply hoppers to sustain continuous packaging operations. Inspect preforms for defects and maintain material traceability to protect finished product quality and food safety standards. Support inventory accuracy, tidy storage, and seamless handovers across packaging and warehouse processes. Key Duties & Responsibilities - Transfer boxed plastic preforms into automated blow molding supply hoppers according to continuous feeding requirements.
- Inspect plastic preforms carefully for physical defects, contamination, or damage prior to loading.
- Maintain physical and system control of preform inventory by verifying quantities, conditions, batch codes, and storage locations.
- Apply FIFO, FEFO, and approved stock rotation principles to prevent material mixing, expiry, or deterioration.
- Handle and stack boxed materials safely to avoid product damage, moisture exposure, or workplace hazards.
- Maintain complete, legible, and accurate shift logs, checklists, and material movement records.
- Follow occupational safety, food safety, hygiene, and PPE requirements at all times without taking operational shortcuts.
- Report and escalate equipment risks, safety hazards, quality deviations, or inventory discrepancies promptly to supervisors.
Skills - Raw material handling and continuous hopper feeding
- Preform inspection and visual defect detection
- Stock rotation, segregation, and traceability control
- Basic digital data entry and accurate operational record keeping
- Workplace safety, personal protection, and hygiene adherence
Education Qualifications & Experience Education Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree, Higher Diploma, Ordinary Diploma, or National Diploma in Packaging, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Stores Management, Inventory Management, Warehousing, Transport and Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Agribusiness, Agriculture, Business Studies, or a related discipline
- National Certificate in Technical Trades
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE / S.6) or Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with relevant vocational training or demonstrated numeracy and record keeping competence
Experience - No prior work experience required.
- Includes 1 week on site orientation.
