Dalilang Foods & Beverages is a Ugandan FMCG manufacturer producing packaged snacks, including potato crisps, gonja chips, coated peanuts and peanut butter, alongside spring water, fruit nectars and energy drinks.

Job Description

Protects factory personnel, visitors, inventory, equipment, vehicles, and plant infrastructure across assigned posts. Enforces strict facility access control procedures at security gates, reception areas, surveillance stations, and vehicle checkpoints.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Verify employee identification, visitor permits, contractor credentials, and appointment documentation prior to granting site entry.
• Log visitor details into manual registers or electronic management systems and direct individuals in line with plant policies.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing trucks to confirm valid gate passes, delivery documentation, and dispatch authorizations.
• Record vehicle registration numbers, driver identification, entry and exit times, and load movement details.
• Monitor facility perimeters to prevent unauthorized access into restricted production, warehouse, utility, and administrative zones.
• Observe CCTV display monitors for suspicious activity while adhering strictly to privacy regulations and site policies.
• Conduct scheduled physical patrols of gates, perimeter fences, access doors, lighting, storage yards, and fire points.
• Respond calmly to alarms, disturbances, theft indicators, and plant emergencies without unnecessary confrontation or excessive force.
• Prepare factual incident logs and conduct detailed shift handovers regarding unresolved security matters and anticipated visitors.

Education Qualifications & Experience

Education Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Security Management, Criminology, Public Administration, Business, Social Sciences, Law, Records Management, ICT, or other recognized programs.
• Certificate, National Certificate, or vocational qualification in relevant fields, with specialized security training considered an added advantage.
• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE).
• Must hold any mandatory statutory security licence required by applicable legal regulations.

Experience

• No prior work experience required.
• Structured onboarding training is provided covering access control, vehicle inspection, CCTV basics, emergency response, and incident escalation.
