Job Description

Calculate product unit costs, track raw material conversion yields, monitor bills of materials, and track production waste costs across the facility.

Drive manufacturing cost control and inventory accuracy by delivering reliable financial insights to production and plant management.

Support continuous operational improvement by analyzing variances, identifying cost drivers, and upholding strict reconciliation controls.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Calculate product unit costs and evaluate manufacturing cost performance across operational processes.
• Track raw material conversion yields and analyze scrap, rework, and waste costs against established standards.
• Audit and update Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure alignment with active production recipes and operational usage.
• Conduct monthly inventory valuations, physical stock reconciliations, and variance investigations across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
• Analyze differences between actual consumption and standard costs, escalating material financial exposures with root cause explanations.
• Maintain complete, auditable, and confidential cost accounting records, schedules, and reconciliations in line with company procedures.
• Partner with production, quality, and storekeeping teams to resolve transaction discrepancies and improve recording accuracy at source.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by highlighting recurring yield losses, downtime impacts, and excess material usage without compromising safety or food quality standards.

Education Qualifications & Experience

Education Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Business Studies, Business Computing, or closely related disciplines.

Diploma or Higher Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Studies, or related business qualifications.

Minimum of CPA or ACCA Level 2 professional qualification.

Experience

3+ years of experience in factory cost accounting.
