- Develop, implement and maintain procedures, means and tools to ensure the efficient organisation and operation of the scheduling, progress control and reporting activities.
- Define (and update as necessary) a suitable Work Breakdown Structure complying with Project needs in terms of progress control, cost control and reporting, for all phases of the Project.
- Liaise with Cost Controllers to ensure consistency of information.
- Develop, update and revise the overall Package schedules as required by Package Management, and provide analyses and simulations of new schedules as required.
- Assist Package Management to review and comment on contractorsâ procedures and schedules, scheduling and progress control methodology; monitor contractorsâ execution schedules; and check and approve contractorsâ progress measurement and progress reports.
- Analyse and perform âwhat-ifâ simulations and propose corrective actions when Project milestones are threatened.
- Consolidate Ugandan content man-hours from the package.
- Define (and update as necessary) a suitable Monthly Report structure complying with Concessionaire/Partners and Project needs.
- Perform the reporting activities as informed and directed by the EPC Project Controls Leader.
- Develop the Project Monthly Report / Project Weekly Report (and any other report as requested) during all phases of the Project, as directed by the Services Leader.
- Generally, support Package and Construction Management on all matters related to scheduling, progress reporting and general reporting, and manage all activities related to scheduling and reporting (as directed).
- Report in a timely manner to the Project Control Leader and the Lead Planner, highlighting progress and areas of concern.
Person Specification Education, Training, Skills & Experience Qualification: - Bachelor of Science or equivalent in an Engineering discipline or Construction Technology area.
Experience: - Minimum 10 yearsâ experience in projects, with a minimum of 5 yearsâ experience in planning of projects in Oil & Gas and/or Infrastructure related industries.
- Extensive knowledge of MS Excel, MS Project and Primavera. Well-developed analytical and reporting skills.
- Able to coordinate and work with other teams, with basic multi-disciplinary knowledge.
- Able to work on their own initiative and proactively interact with discipline teams to obtain information.
- Able to react quickly and decisively to constantly changing demands and circumstances, and to identify, analyse and solve problems within the scope of the role.
- Ability and willingness to effectively and robustly challenge the views of contractors and internal contacts.
