Paint Production Officer job at Info-Code Consults Limited

Job Purpose

Info-Code consults Ltd on behalf of it's client is seeking to hire a Paint Production Officer responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day production of paints and related products. The officer shall ensure that production activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and according to the required quality standards, production schedules, and company procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily paint production activities.
• Ensure the correct quantities of raw materials are measured, mixed, and processed according to approved formulations.
• Monitor the production process from raw material preparation to mixing, filling, packaging, and storage.
• Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment.
• Conduct basic quality checks on raw materials and finished products and report any deviations.
• Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, raw materials used, wastage, and production times.
• Monitor the use of raw materials and minimize unnecessary wastage.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control, Stores, Maintenance, and Sales departments to ensure smooth production operations.
• Identify production problems and recommend practical solutions to improve efficiency.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of raw materials and finished paint products.
• Ensure employees under the production section follow company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Assist in developing and improving production processes and formulations.
• Report equipment breakdowns, quality issues, accidents, and production challenges to management promptly.
• Perform any other duties related to paint production as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Production Management, or a related field.
• With over 3 or 4 years of progressive experience in paint, chemical, manufacturing, or related production is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of paint manufacturing processes, raw materials, mixing, and quality control is preferred.
