Key Activities and Responsibilities - Assess patients presenting with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
- Conduct relevant physical examinations.
- Assist with diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Manage fractures, dislocations, soft tissue injuries, and other conditions within scope of practice.
- Apply casts, splints, braces, and other orthopaedic supports as trained and authorised.
- Assist with wound care and minor orthopaedic procedures.
- Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment.
- Recognise complications and refer appropriately.
- Provide patient education on injury care, rehabilitation, mobility, and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Work with doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain orthopaedic equipment and supplies.
- Follow infection prevention and safety procedures.
Qualifications and Experience - Recognised qualification in Orthopaedic Medicine/Orthopaedic Technology or relevant professional training.
- Registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body where applicable.
- Valid practising licence where applicable.
- Relevant clinical experience is desirable.
