Duties and Responsibilities - Operates Equipment in a safe and careful manner: This includes running, manoeuvring, navigating, and driving.
- Carries out daily inspections on the equipment structures and materials during every operation and movement.
- Identifies causes of errors and other problems or defects on equipment if any.
- Completes all data entry requirements as requested by site supervisor i.e. fuelling, mileage
- recording and signing of the gate passes and check lists
- Immediately informs site supervisor of any problems, necessary maintenance, or necessary and on the daily check list.
- repairs to the equipment both verbally and in writing, in both the equipment Checking-book
- Keeps the equipment clean and neat and stores all accessories in their correct place
- Responsible for own and other employees health and safety at the workplace
- Ensures proper hand over of the equipment while leaving site.
- Takes over the equipment on reporting to site by ensuring everything is okay and reporting
- immediately any discrepancies to the supervisor for follow up.
- May be called upon to do other duties when the equipment is not operational as directed by
2. Job Specification - Valid driving permit with the relevant classes
- Operator’s certificate relevant to Manlift.
- Suitability test for the Specific equipment.
- Defensive driving certificate.
- Minimum Education level 0rdinary Level/S.4
- Five years’ experience in operating the specific equipment.
- Minimum Age 25 yrs.
