Key Duties and Responsibilities The Operations Manager will: - Oversee the daily operations of all hotel departments.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality guest services.
- Coordinate the activities of front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance and other operational departments.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and service standards.
- Monitor departmental performance against agreed targets and standards.
- Supervise department heads and provide guidance, coaching and performance feedback.
- Ensure adequate staffing and effective deployment of employees.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to complaints or service concerns.
- Ensure customer feedback is properly recorded and addressed.
- Conduct regular operational inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor hotel occupancy, room readiness, service efficiency and other key operational indicators.
- Work closely with Finance to monitor revenue, costs, budgets and operational expenditure.
- Support revenue-generating initiatives and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Ensure effective stock control and minimise wastage.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure facilities, equipment and utilities remain operational.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, security and applicable hospitality regulations.
- Develop and implement emergency-response and business-continuity procedures.
- Support recruitment, induction, training and development of hotel staff.
- Promote teamwork, discipline and a positive workplace culture.
- Prepare regular operational reports for senior management.
- Represent the hotel professionally when dealing with suppliers, clients, partners and other stakeholders.
- Identify operational risks and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
- Support strategic planning and implementation of hotel growth initiatives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Professional qualification in hospitality management is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in hotel/hospitality operations, including experience in a supervisory or management position.
- Experience managing multiple hotel departments is highly desirable.
