The role involves assessment, implementation of nursing care, monitoring of patients, administration of prescribed treatments, health education, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Key Activities and Responsibilities - Assess patients and identify their nursing care needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised nursing care plans.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs and general condition.
- Administer prescribed medicines and treatments safely and accurately.
- Provide wound care, dressings, injections, and other nursing procedures within the scope of practice.
- Monitor patients' response to treatment and report deterioration promptly.
- Assist doctors and other clinicians during examinations and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential nursing records.
- Participate in ward rounds, clinical handovers, and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Provide health education to patients and their families.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
- Observe infection prevention and control procedures.
- Maintain patient dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and safety.
- Participate in emergency response and resuscitation as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised clinical environment.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience - Relevant recognised nursing qualification.
- Registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body and a valid practising licence.
- Relevant clinical experience is an advantage.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
