About Watoto Childcare Ministries
Watoto Church and Childcare Ministries have experienced exponential growth over the past few years, comprising multiple Celebration Centers (Campuses) and diverse community care initiatives. These initiatives include Child Care, Community and Neighborhood Development, Education, and FM Radio programs. Despite this expansion, Watoto remains a local church dedicated to celebrating Christ and caring for the community.
We are currently seeking a Nurse to join our team and support the daily clinical activities at Baby Watoto, Suubi.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Nurse will report to the Nurse Supervisor and will be responsible for:
1. Participating in daily clinical rounds and performing nursing duties, including attending appointments and managing isolated babies.
2. Promptly addressing clinical issues to ensure the health and well-being of babies within the facility.
3. Identifying and containing infections early while providing clear infection control instructions.
4. Assisting with infants' feed calculations and nutritional management, especially for malnourished babies, under the guidance of the Nurse Supervisor.
5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and providing clinical updates on infants to the Nurse Supervisor.
6. Participating in health programs within and outside Watoto as required.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
• Hold at least a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Be a registered Nurse with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
• Have a valid practicing license.
• Possess a minimum of two years' experience in nursing, preferably in a school or childcare setting.
• Be proficient in basic computer software.
• Be passionate about community healthcare, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Show a strong commitment to working within standardized Nursing care guidelines.
