Reporting directly to the Pharmacist, the successful candidate will provide operational support in pharmacy services, customer engagement, inventory management, quality assurance, and other business functions as required. This role is ideal for an ambitious nurse who wishes to build a career within the pharmaceutical industry rather than a traditional hospital environment. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate initiative, professionalism, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and contribute across multiple departments. Key Roles and Responsibilities Pharmacy Operations - Support the Pharmacist in the daily operations of the pharmacy and pharmaceutical distribution activities.
- Assist in the dispensing and handling of medicines and healthcare products in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Ensure medicines and medical supplies are stored under the recommended conditions.
- Monitor product expiry dates, batch numbers and storage requirements, reporting any discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization and professional presentation of the pharmacy and storage areas.
Customer Service and Product Support - Provide professional product information and basic healthcare guidance within the scope of nursing practice under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries regarding products and services.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through courteous and efficient service.
- Escalate technical or clinical matters requiring the Pharmacist's intervention.
Inventory and Documentation - Receive, inspect and verify incoming pharmaceutical products and medical supplies.
- Assist in stock management, inventory counts and reconciliation exercises.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement and pharmacy documentation.
- Support order preparation, packaging and dispatch to customers.
Cross-Functional Support - Provide operational support to other departments including procurement, sales, administration and logistics whenever required.
- Participate in company projects and initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate flexibility by undertaking additional responsibilities assigned by Management.
- Proactively identify opportunities to contribute and actively seek productive work during less busy periods.
Key Performance Indicators - Accuracy in inventory handling and documentation.
- Compliance with pharmacy procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
- Timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Accuracy in order preparation and stock management.

Key Qualifications and Experience - Certificate in Enrolled Nursing, Certified Nursing or Enrolled Comprehensive Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council with a valid practising licence.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- 1 to 2 years' relevant work experience is an added advantage.
