- Provide immediate, expert, and life-preserving first aid including management of traumatic injuries, burns, chemical splashes, electric shock, cardiac arrest, and acute medical events.
- Manage the ICD's on-site clinic as a clean, fully stocked, and properly equipped medical facility, maintaining strict inventory management of all medical supplies and medications.
2 Occupational Health, Documentation, and Health Promotion - Conduct pre-employment medical screening and periodic occupational health assessments for workers in high-risk roles.
- Administer prescribed medications and provide basic curative care within the nurse's scope of practice, referring workers requiring specialist care to appropriate health facilities.
- Complete a detailed medical incident report for every injury, illness, and emergency medical event attended, maintaining strict confidentiality of all patient records.
- Any other tasks assigned.
Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S A N D R E Q U I R E M E N T S REQUIREMENT DETAIL - Minimum Education Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution
- Registration Valid current nursing licence issued by the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council â mandatory
- Experience Minimum 2 years' post-registration clinical experience including emergency nursing, trauma management, or occupational health nursing
- Emergency Certifications Advanced First Aid certification or equivalent is a strong advantage
- Composure Proven ability to remain calm and clinically effective during serious emergency situations
