The role focuses on strengthening the capacity of health workers and systems to deliver high-impact, evidence-based care for sick, small, and healthy newborns. This includes technical mentorship, systems support, and collaboration with health facilities, district health teams, and the Ministry of Health. The ultimate goal is to reduce neonatal morbidity and mortality in line with national priorities. About you - Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Midwifery, Medicine, Public Health, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in neonatal care, including work in a Neonatal Care Unit
- Experience in health worker training and mentorship
- Strong knowledge of Ugandaâs national newborn and maternal health strategies
- Excellent communication skills in Luganda and English
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Willingness to travel frequently and work in field locations, including extended stays
- Respectful, accountable, and a team player
