Interacts/Interfaces with: Internal:Employees External:Clients, Contractors Job Summary The role is responsible for driving the company’s sales objectives and strategy for the Agri Division. Key Position Responsibilities 1. Lead the Agri Division sales team and build sustainable customer and distributor relationships 2. Creatively use knowledge of sales’ processes and market to provide innovative ideas for business growth. 3. Develop and maintain successful relationships through all sales channels. - Develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets.
- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
- Negotiate and close agreements with large customers and distributors.
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics and confidently present solutions for improvements to senior management. .
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
- Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.
- Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs.
- Laise with marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency.
- Stay up to date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
- Develop comprehensive business plans encompassing sales, revenue targets,and expense control.
- Craft and implement effective marketing strategies to maximize unit and gross profits.
- Analyse industry trends and business results to refine strategies and optimize sales of all BPIL products
- Collaborate closely with operations and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
- Champion the organization and its products to the market, fostering strong customer relationships.
- Gain a deep understanding of our ideal customers and their needs to tailor product offerings effectively.
Success Measures - Achieve or exceed annual revenue and gross margin budget
- Achieve or exceed market share objectives
- Ensure that BPIL is the considered the preferred supplier to the poultry grower market
- Timely submission of daily/weekly/monthly reports.
Financial Responsibility Person Specification Education & Training - BSc degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related studies.
- Animal Science qualification
- MBA in Business Administration is an added advantage
Skills & Experience - 7-10 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Business Acumen
- Strong leadership skills
- Proven work experience as a National Sales Manager in a poultry or related company.
- Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- An ability to understand and analyse sales performance metrics.
- Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
- Strong communication and team management skills
- Analytical skills with a problem -solving attitude.
- Availability to travel as needed.
- Flair for sales.
