About the Company:
Avanti Energy Services Limited (Avanti) is a Ugandan national company, which engages in providing services to the upstream oil and gas production industry within Uganda. Avanti was awarded a contract by a major oil and gas service company to source and employ in excess of 100 Ugandan engineers, technicians, operators and laborers to support their oil drilling operations within Uganda.
Job Summary: Â Â Monitor the implementation of National Content development requirements. Provide support in inclusion of national content in procurements in line with the regulations, Company & Project strategy, and Company & Project national content program.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that local suppliers, contractors, and workforce are utilized in the industry’s operations.
- Managing vendor contracts and relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Help in developing and implementing administrative policies and procedures, aligning with organizational goals.
- Developing and implementing local content strategies in alignment with national regulations and company policies.
- Monitoring compliance with local content regulations and guidelines.
- Preparing and submitting reports on local content performance to the National Content Manager for review before submission to the regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
- Engaging with local communities, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to promote local content initiatives.
- Help in designing and implementing training programs to build the capacity of local workforce and suppliers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in in any discipline
- Post graduate diploma in any relevant field is an additional advantage
- Proven 5 – 10 years’ working experience in a similar role preferably in Oil & Gas Industry
- Solid experience in human, organizational, and community capacity development or knowledge transfer is required.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Good knowledge of the policies, laws, regulations, and guidelines regarding national content in Uganda.
- Innovative and able to work both individually and in a team.
- Good analytical and problem-solving mindset and skills.
- Good public speaking and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and written & oral communication skills.
- Good negotiation and administrative skills.
- Good computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
