Job Purpose The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer will support the planning, implementation, tracking, analysis, and reporting of project activities to ensure high-quality data management, accountability, learning, and performance measurement across HPI projects. The role involves field monitoring, data quality assurance, indicator tracking, database management, reporting, and supporting evidence-based decision-making. HPI seeks to recruit a competent and results-oriented individual to fill the position below: Position: Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer Duty Station: Project Field Locations Key Responsibilities: - Conduct routine project monitoring and field supervision.
- Manage project databases and reporting systems.
- Track project indicators and performance targets.
- Analyze data and prepare high-quality reports and dashboards.
- Support baseline assessments, evaluations, and learning activities.
- Ensure quality assurance of project data and documentation.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and donor reports.
- Compile indicator performance summaries, dashboards, and analytical reports.
- Generate charts, tables, infographics, and data visualizations for management and client reporting.
- Maintain proper documentation and Means of Verification (MoVs) including attendance lists, photos, activity reports, and success stories.
- Support preparation of donor presentations and project review meetings.
Qualifications: - Bachelorâs Degree in Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Population Studies, Public Health, Monitoring & Evaluation, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Or related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of data analysis tools and reporting systems.
- Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
Experience - Minimum of 3 yearsâ experience in Monitoring & Evaluation within NGO, consultancy, public health, or development projects.
- Experience in donor-funded projects is an added advantage.
- Experience working in field-based projects and community programs.
Technical Competencies - Strong skills in data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Excel
- SPSS/STATA/Power BI/KoboToolbox/ODK
- Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of indicator tracking and logical frameworks.
- Strong analytical and report writing skills.
- Ability to develop dashboards and data visualization tools.
