- Conduct study interviews and complete study source documents and case report forms
- Perform basic obstetric ultrasound examinations to support determination of gestational age and pregnancy assessments, as required by the protocol
- Provide counselling and education to study participants regarding study procedures and maternal health
- Monitor participants throughout pregnancy and support follow-up during the postpartum period
- Identify, collect, verify, and document maternal, pregnancy, birth, and neonatal outcomes from participants and medical records
- Work closely with antenatal, maternity, labour ward, neonatal, and postnatal care teams to facilitate outcome ascertainment.
- Collect biological specimens and ensure appropriate processing and transport according to study procedures
- Participate in data collection, data entry, and maintenance of study records.
- Support initiation, monitoring, and documentation of TB preventive therapy according to study procedures
- Participate in study meetings and communicate with study investigators and other study staff
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications: - DIPLOMA : Diploma or BaDegree in Midwifery from a recognised institution. - Mandatory
Certifications: - Certificate in Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and Responsible Conduct of Research(RCR) or Human Subjects Protection (HSP). - Mandatory
- Certificate in Sonography from a reputable institution. - Mandatory
- Registration with Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council - Mandatory
Skill & Experience: - Clinical trial experience - Added Advantage
- Experience in HIV, TB, maternal health, or implementation science research - Added Advantage
- Communication skills - Mandatory
- Team work - Mandatory
- Experience providing antenatal, maternity, or reproductive health services - Added Advantage
