We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Officer to join our healthcare team in Adjumani Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in Internal Medicine and Paediatrics and be committed to delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered medical care. Fresh graduates with a strong interest in these areas are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities - Conduct patient consultations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients across different age groups.
- Manage common medical conditions with particular attention to internal medicine and paediatric cases.
- Take accurate medical histories and perform appropriate physical examinations.
- Request and interpret relevant laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
- Develop appropriate treatment and management plans for patients.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
- Identify and appropriately manage or refer emergency and complex cases.
- Provide health education and counselling to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient records.
- Work closely with nurses, specialists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ward rounds, clinical meetings, and other healthcare activities.
- Adhere to professional, ethical, infection prevention, and patient-safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB/MBBS) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration and practising licence with the relevant professional council in Uganda.
- Fresh graduates with a strong interest or bias in Internal Medicine and Paediatrics are encouraged to apply.
- Good clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, professional, and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Willingness to work in Adjumani Town.
Remuneration: Negotiable
