Mechanical Technician job at The Initiates Uganda (TIU) Limited

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving mechanical systems and equipment at the company facility, to support operational efficiency and business objectives.

• Oversee installation and operation of mechanical systems.
• Schedule and conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults and breakdowns.
• Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Support project planning and implementation.
• Reconfirm specifications with suppliers and contractors on technical matters.
• Any other responsibilities that may be given to you.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software and technical documentation.

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registration with the relevant professional engineering body is an added advantage.
