- Directly supporting EACOP & the CONTRACTORs ensuring delivery of the pipeline and associated AGI, MST facilities and EITS infrastructure are on- time and to budget.
- Implement, use, and communicate safe work practices on and off the Project Sites.
- Mentor exemplary behaviour regarding Project H3SE policy.
- Support CONTRACTOR Construction Engineering in accordance project requirements and procedures.
- Assist CONTRACTOR for the correct interpretation of the drawings, providing support in the solution of technical problems.
- Along with Field Engineering, check CONTRACTOR method statements and work procedures.
- Coordinate and monitor work fronts to achieve project schedule and progress objectives.
- Ensure that all equipment (static and rotating) are stored (Preventive maintenance prior to and during erection) maintained, installed, tested and commissioned in accordance with the applicable codes, specifications, drawings and mechanical vendors documents.
- Together with the Site Quality Manager, coordinate the required inspections and testing ensuring that hold points of the ITPs are witnessed.
- Validate equipment lifting and transportation studies.
- To monitor the mechanical site vendors in term of: Cost, schedule, achievement, performance.
- Coordinate problems and solutions between site Construction Contractor, the field engineers and the mechanical site vendors.
- Analyze additional work and modifications to determine the cause and propose the solution to be implemented.
- Manage work acceptance operations and follow-up of the punch lists.
- Ensure that the completion, the validity and traceability of documents included in the Construction Contractors as built documents is checked.
- Assist the Pre-op and Commissioning group.
- Ensure that the equipmentâs are followed as per the Manufacturer recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience Required - Bachelorâs Degree in Mechanical engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or relevant qualification combined with extensive field
- A minimum of 5 years greenfield site construction experience in Oil & Gas or Hydrocarbon projects
- A minimum of 5 years as Mechanical Superintendent.
- Competency within industry applications such as MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Strong knowledge of mechanical installation and alignment.
- Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical communication protocols and architecture
- Knowledge of related industry Codes and Standards â API (610, 617, 618, 682, etc.), ANSI (B73.1, B73.2, B16.5, B31.1, B31.3)
- Demonstrate proficiency in the interpretation of engineering drawings, plans and specifications.
- Understanding of critical path and key milestones within the construction planning programs.
- A high focus on identifying and meeting the key project deliverables and objectives.
- Advanced written and spoken English.
- Effective leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, planning and organizational skills for managing multiple tasks.
- Previous experience working with multicultural contractors' and reporting their performance.
- Autonomous, self-motivated, and flexible with the ability to adapt quickly to change or shifting priorities.
