The National Animal Genetic Resources Centre and Data Bank, a body corporate under the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries with a mandate to take a leading role in establishing a comprehensive National Animal Breeding Programme in Uganda wishes to recruit the following; .

Job Title : Marketing Executive/Public Relations Officer

Location : Headquarters - Entebbe
Reporting To : Executive Director
Overall Job Purpose: To develop and provide appropriate marketing strategies for the marketing of the Centre's technologies and products
Age Limit : 25-55 Years

Specific Responsibilities
• Carries out market research and surveys
• Explores customer opinions and gaps in the market.
• Assesses competitors marketing strategies.
• Organises public relations events or product exhibitions.
• Ensures campaigns deadlines are met.
• Arranges sponsorship.
• Places adverts in in the media. Writes and distributes posters, flyers or brochures.
• Writes and distributes posters, flyers or brochures.
• Manages campaigns.
• Plans Marketing campaigns.
• Networks with clients and the public.
• Attends exhibitions in order to meet with clients, suppliers and the media.
• Checks on how effective a marketing campaign is performing
• Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Basic Requirements
• A Bachelors Degree in BBA or B.COM or Community Psychology
• A Master's degree in marketing is an added advantage
• Should be computer literate
• Should be of high personal integrity with both good oral and writing skills
• Should be highly organized, mature and capable of interacting with high profile persons
• Working experience of at least three (3) years in marketing gained from a suitable institution
