JOB DETAILS: Atelier Mayanja Ltd (Mayanja Candles) is a leading provider of premium home fragrance products, including scented candles, reed diffusers, room sprays, and essential oils. We are passionate about creating inviting, luxurious, and memorable spaces through the power of scent. As we expand our presence in Uganda, we are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Marketing and Sales Executive to join our team. Job Summary The Marketing and Sales Executive will be responsible for driving brand awareness, generating leads, and increasing sales for our home fragrance products. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the Ugandan market, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Marketing • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote our home fragrance products and increase brand visibility in Uganda. • Plan and manage digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing, and SEO. • Create engaging content (e.g., blogs, videos, product descriptions) to showcase our products and their benefits. • Organize and participate in events, trade shows, and product launches to promote the brand. • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities. • Collaborate with designers and content creators to produce marketing materials (e.g., brochures, flyers, banners). Sales • Identify and target potential customers, including retail stores, hotels, spas, and individual buyers. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction. • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets by actively pursuing leads and closing deals. • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to management. • Develop and implement strategies to upsell and cross-sell products. Other Duties • Collaborate with the team to develop new product ideas and improve existing offerings. • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in marketing and sales. • Represent the company at networking events and industry gatherings. Qualifications and Skills Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in marketing and sales, preferably in the retail, luxury goods, or home fragrance industry. • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Skills: • Strong understanding of the Ugandan market and consumer behavior. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., social media platforms, Google Analytics, email marketing software). • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
