Job Summary: Â Â Provide assurance for security and safety of Posta Uganda employees, stakeholders as well as assets of the company throughout the country. Professionally manage cases of misconduct and advise on effective case resolution in Courts of Law, Management Disciplinary Hearings as well as Mediation Sessions as the case may necessitate
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep an updated security plan and ensure that security audits are carried out and reviewed constantly and keep an updated security plan while constantly reviewing and managing, issues that hinge on the security of persons, property, and assets.
- Manage the investigation caseload by effectively coordinating and collaborating with investigators and investigation missions between UPL Security and other stakeholders.
- Provide high-level investigation expertise and advise investigators on all investigative activities in order to ensure that all relevant information is obtained in line with UPL’s mandate.
- Negotiate and liaise with officials from the government, national and international agencies and partner organizations on investigation-related matters.
- Assume accountability for achieving investigation objectives and results, in accordance with accepted international investigation standards and UPL internal policy guidelines.
- Deliver timely and effective complaints handling services by efficiently overseeing and coordinating the case investigations portfolio to ensure they are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain effective liaison with outsourced security services, government enforcement agencies and external fraud investigators and evaluate performance of the rendered services and advise management on any needed action.
- Maintain good security records and submit regular reports to supervisor to provide assurance that emerging cases are well managed.
- Regularly train staff on prevention of insecurity and fraud with specific reference to emerging trends by undertaking training needs assessment for staff, to identify training needs and arrange the delivery of suitable training.
- Support management to resolve misconduct of all forms, and process case files for Disciplinary Hearings, Court Hearings, and other forms of case management.
Key Performance Indicators
- Security for people and property assured at all Post Offices in the country
- Approved personnel and data security plan
- Cases of misconduct properly managed in Courts of Law, Management Disciplinary Hearings as well as Mediation sessions
- Periodic security audit reports.
- Evidence presented in a consistent, clear and thorough manner
- Minimum Investigation turnaround time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Law
- Must have proven training and experience in Security Management and Investigations
Minimum Experience
- Six (06) years working experience in security management, investigations, law enforcement, at least four (04) of which should have been at Senior Officer or Supervisory level.
