The Maintenance Controller is responsible for ensuring continuous operation of equipment and machinery. Through experience he observes machine conditions and oversee routine maintenance and organize repairs. S/he plays a vital role in the efficiency, development and progress of manufacturing and processing industries through proper planning. Key Responsibilities: -
- Drawing up, implementing and supervising daily maintenance for all equipment
- Job allocation for the maintenance persons
- Consults with the team and provides information and guidance to maintenance personnel.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing issues, and coordinating quick repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
- Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs.
- Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
- Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is in the right condition.
- Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience: - A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- With 3 years of experience in a similar role
- OR Higher Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 6 years of experience.
