About US:
Palliative Care Association Of Uganda (PCAU) started operating from the premises of Hospice Africa Uganda (HAU) and was managed by volunteers for over six years. The Association was established to advocate for Palliative Care services in Uganda. Through PCAU’s work in the last 20 years, palliative care services are spread in 107 districts of Uganda with over 250 facilities accredited to offer the service including the 13 Regional Referral Hospitals. There is a total of 13 standalone hospices spread across the country to offer palliative care services.
Job Summary: The Locum Driver will be responsible for safely transporting the team in the organization’s manual vehicles across the country while portraying the organization’s corporate image. The position involves occasional driving with or without staff in the vehicle and reports directly to the Administrative Assistant.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and a minimum of an O-level Certificate and any other higher qualification is a must.
- Proven experience in safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for effectively reporting issues and collaborating with team members.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and travel requirements.
