JOB DETAILS: Duties: The incumbent is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the various life-safety systems installed in the Government Owned Buildings, U.S. Government owned residential properties and Short- and Long-Term Lease residencies. Download: Detailed Position description | PD- Life Safety Technician Qualifications and Evaluations EDUCATION: Completion of secondary school (both ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels) and attainment of advanced certificate/diploma in electrical and electronic applications is required. Requirements: EXPERIENCE: Minimum of four years progressively responsible experience in the electrical or electronic field is required. JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have full working knowledge of electrical theories and safety procedures and be proficient in electrical troubleshooting. Evaluations: (This may be tested) LANGUAGE: English level III (Good working knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to work independently. Proper use of both hand tools and electrical or electronic testing equipment. Must be available for on-call duty 24 hours a day. Must hold a valid drivers’ license for a minimum of five years with classes B, CM, DL. Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
