JOB DETAILS:
• Minimum Qualifications:
o Certificate or Diploma in Library and Information Science.
o Minimum 3 years of experience working in a school setting.
o Strong computer literacy and excellent secretarial skills.
• Responsibilities:
o Manage the school library, ensuring the cataloging, organization, and accessibility of books and resources.
o Support students and staff in locating and using library materials effectively.
o Maintain accurate records of borrowed and returned items.
o Promote a reading culture by organizing library activities such as storytelling sessions and book fairs.
o Provide secretarial support, including managing correspondence, drafting letters, and maintaining office files.
o Handle front desk duties such as receiving visitors and answering inquiries.
o Assist in maintaining digital records and databases for the library.
o Support the school’s administrative team with clerical and organizational tasks as needed.
