The Librarian will be responsible for managing day-to-day library operations, assisting patrons, maintaining the collection, and supporting programming and outreach activities. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, a passion for literacy and learning, and a commitment to excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: - Assist patrons with locating materials, research, and technology use
- Maintain and organize library collections, both physical and digital
- Plan and deliver educational programs and events for various age groups
- Manage cataloging, circulation, and inventory systems
- Promote library services and resources through outreach and marketing
- Support the development of the library’s strategic goals and initiatives
- Ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for all users
Qualifications: - Degree in Library and Information Science (or equivalent qualification)
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
- Strong IT and digital literacy skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of library systems (e.g., cataloging, classification, databases)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive and customer-oriented approach
