JOB DETAILS: As a Learning Support Teacher, your role will involve working with students who require additional educational support. You will collaborate with other educators, students, and their families to foster an environment that helps learners achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: 1. Specialized Instruction: o Deliver tailored lessons to meet the needs of students requiring special educational support. o Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate various learning abilities and styles. 2. Student Development: o Monitor and assess students’ progress and adjust learning plans as necessary. o Provide one-on-one or small group interventions to assist students in overcoming learning challenges. 3. Collaboration: o Work closely with classroom teachers to ensure the effective inclusion of all students. o Communicate with parents/guardians about students’ progress and needs. 4. Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain detailed records of student progress and provide regular updates to school management and parents. 5. Support for School Curriculum: o Contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with specific needs. o Align learning support with the Cambridge Curriculum to ensure consistency in academic goals. Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required: 1. Education: o Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Bachelor of Arts in Child Development, or a related field. 2. Specialized Certification: o Certification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) is mandatory. 3. Experience: o A minimum of 3 years of working experience in a reputable educational facility, preferably in a similar role. 4. Knowledge: o Knowledge and experience working with the Cambridge Curriculum will be an added advantage. 5. Skills and Attributes: o Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, parents, and staff. o Ability to develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies. o Patience, empathy, and dedication to fostering an inclusive learning environment. o Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
