Laboratory Technician Number of Positions: 1 Job Purpose The Laboratory Technician will carry out routine laboratory procedures, support diagnostic services, and ensure the accurate handling of specimens and laboratory equipment. Key Duties and Responsibilities - Receive, label, and process laboratory specimens.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests in accordance with standard procedures.
- Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Record, verify, and report laboratory results accurately.
- Observe infection prevention, safety, and quality-assurance procedures.
- Maintain laboratory supplies and support inventory management.
- Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of laboratory records.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements - National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Techniques or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Must be duly registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant work experience in a recognized laboratory or health facility.
- Basic laboratory testing and specimen-handling skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality.
