- Preparation, Staining, reading and storage of blood smears
- Sampling, processing and storage of blood for haematology, biochemistry and PK component of the study
- Prepare and organize sample shipment
- Organise shipment of samples for haematology, biochemistry and PK analysis
- Collect and carry out analysis of urine samples
- Collection and storage of filter paper samples for performance of molecular studies on malaria
- Recording results of laboratory evaluations
- Keeping record of all laboratory activities
- Perform laboratory quality assurance for all laboratory procedures
- Perform other tests as requested by the clinician
- Requisition of laboratory supplies
Qualifications: DIPLOMA : Medical Laboratory Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution â Mandatory Certifications: - Diploma Certificate/Transcript â Mandatory
- Certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) â Mandatory
- Ordinary and Advanced-level Certificate â Mandatory
Skill & Experience: - Accurate collection, labeling, processing, storage and shipment of samples
- Timely and precise execution of laboratory assays in line with SOPs
- Adherence to QC procedures and participation in proficiency testing
- Delivery of results within defined timelines to support clinical and study needs
- Proper use, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Complete and accurate recording of results and adherence to GCP/GLP and regulatory requirements
- Inventory control, proper storage, and timely ordering of reagents and consumables to avoid stock-outs â Mandatory
