Position: Laboratory Assistant
Location: Mondays Hope Medical Centre â Senene, Mpigi
Employment Type: Full Time
Academic Qualifications:
Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.
Professional Qualifications:
Registration and a valid practicing license from the Uganda Allied Health Professionals Council
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience working in a clinical or medical laboratory setting.
Experience with laboratory equipment, specimen processing, and basic diagnostic procedures.
Special Skills Needed:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Dedication and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Proficiency in laboratory software and data entry.
Knowledge of safety and quality control procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collect, prepare, and analyze specimens following standard protocols.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
Record and report test results accurately and promptly.
Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the laboratory.
Assist senior laboratory staff with complex tests and procedures.
Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents.
Participate in quality control and assurance activities.
Adhere to all laboratory policies, procedures, and regulations.

Reporting To: Laboratory Supervisor/Medical Officer in charge
