JOB DETAILS:
To assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure and also
work with internal software developers to maintain the internal system used at
Rocket Health.
Duties and responsibilities
• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in network documentation and inventory management
• Configure and install network devices and equipment.
• Maintaining existing software and hardware and upgrading any that have become obsolete
• Provide technical support to internal staff.
• Monitoring network infrastructure and systems to identify how performance can be improved
• Working with internal system developers to maintain the existing systems
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols, etc.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP/Laravel, Python, Perl, or PowerShell, with experience in automation and scripting.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or PRTG.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
Job Skills and personal specifications
• Experience with cloud platforms, i.e. AWS and virtualization technology is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Certification in networking (e.g. CCNA) and/or development (e.g., AWS Certified Developer) is desirable but not required.
