We are seeking to recruit an Investment Intern to join our Investment Team in Uganda. The ideal candidate should have analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in pursuing a career in investments. The internship is on a short-term basis. Reporting to the General Manager, Uganda the successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities: - Support investment research for both fixed income and equities asset classes.
- Support the management of daily cash positions including preparations for the weekly cash meetings.
- Assist in preparation of client reports and engaging presentations regularly.
- Support in developing financial models to support investment decisions.
- Adhere to Company policies including internal and external polices, risk, compliance and regulatory standards.
- Any other responsibilities as documented in your performance objectives and as may be assigned and communicated from time to time.
Minimum Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in finance or related degree.
- Progress towards CFA.
- At least 0.5-2 years’ experience or internship in a similar role in the financial sector.
- Report writing, Presentation, Communication and Analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Integrity, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
- Interest in investments, asset management, or wealth management is an added advantage.
