JOB DETAILS: Intern (Sports & Gym Instructor) – Internship Paid MAIN CAMPUS • Directorate of Students Affairs Qualifications and experience: 1. A minimum of a diploma or the equivalent in any related field of study. 2. A Bachelor’s degree in Education (Physical Education) will be an added advantage. 3. Passionate about sports and with potential to understand different sports disciplines. 4. Minimum training of sports medicine, injury management and rehabilitation. 5. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. 6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 7. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. 8. Commitment to meeting assigned deadlines. 9. Effective communication skills. 10. Enthusiastic with a desire to work hard and have fun. 11. Available to attend and volunteer at evening and weekend competions. 12. Mature and practicing Christian. Key Duties and responsibilities 1. Develop a detailed schedule for the University Teams League engagements. 2. Assist with the planning and execution of sports competition, including: attending local competitions (option to attend away competitions). 3. Reviewing League Team registration for accuracy; Help in online profiling. 4. Assist with monitoring sports training (attending practices to evaluate training quality, providing support to coaches where needed, ensuring teams have the necessary equipment, etc.) 5. Receive and prepare game news reports for submission. 6. Assist with day-to-day activities within the operations of the department. 7. Maintain and coordinate the sports media bank (photos, videos, publicity materials and newspapers) Coordinate with student interns who work with UCU teams. 8. Provide support in facility maintenance, usage and overall management. 9. Coordinate and support the sports First Aid section to provide hands on assistance that is regularly required by the department.
