About Organisation:
Uganda Wildlife Research & Training Institute (UWRTI) is a semi-autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, established by Uganda Wildlife Research & Training Institute Act, 2016. The Institute is mandated to: “Undertake research and training services for sustainable conservation and management of Uganda’s wildlife resources.’’
Job Summary: Â Â To instruct, lecture and examine students in the Wildlife management department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing, planning and organizing materials for Practical training sessions.
- Conducting lectures and Practical training according to the set time table.
- Setting, administering, and marking examinations.
- Carrying out continuous assessment.
- Supervising students’ research projects.
- Supervising and appraising assistant instructors.
- Supervising internship students.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- An Honour’s Bachelor Degree of Science (Biological) with Education, Environmental Sciences, Wildlife Biology, Natural Resource Management or related fields from a recognized University or Institution.
- Working Experience: Nil
