Key Activities and Responsibilities ICT Support - Maintain and support hospital computers, networks, printers, and related ICT equipment.
- Provide technical support to staff and resolve routine ICT problems.
- Install and maintain approved software and applications.
- Support user account management and access controls.
- Monitor ICT equipment and report faults requiring specialised support.
- Assist with data backup and recovery procedures.
- Promote secure and appropriate use of hospital ICT systems.
Data Management - Supervise and coordinate data entry activities.
- Ensure patient and administrative data is entered accurately and promptly.
- Review data for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
- Identify and correct data quality issues.
- Maintain electronic and physical information systems appropriately.
- Generate routine reports and data summaries for management.
- Support departments in accessing and using relevant data.
Information Security and Confidentiality - Protect confidential patient and hospital information.
- Apply appropriate data security and access control procedures.
- Educate users on responsible ICT use and information security.
- Report suspected data breaches, unauthorised access, or security incidents.
- Ensure data is backed up according to hospital procedures.
Management and Reporting - Coordinate data entry staff or activities where applicable.
- Develop and maintain data management procedures.
- Monitor performance and data quality.
- Support hospital management with accurate information for planning and decision-making.
- Maintain ICT and data-related documentation.
- Participate in system upgrades, implementation of new applications, and ICT-related projects.
Qualifications and Experience - Recognised qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, data management, and reporting.
- Previous experience in ICT support, data entry, health information management, or a related environment is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Good communication, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
