To manage, monitor and maintain HVAC and Building Management System (BMS) infrastructure within the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, ensuring reliable environmental conditions and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Key Duties and Responsibilities - Operate, monitor and maintain HVAC systems serving production and controlled areas.
- Monitor temperature, humidity, pressure differentials and air-quality parameters.
- Manage and monitor the Building Management System (BMS).
- Troubleshoot HVAC and BMS alarms and system faults.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Monitor AHUs, chillers, compressors, pumps, cooling systems and related equipment.
- Maintain required environmental conditions in production and storage areas.
- Review HVAC performance trends and identify deviations.
- Support qualification and validation activities for HVAC systems.
- Maintain HVAC maintenance records and logbooks.
- Coordinate contractors and service providers.
- Ensure HVAC systems comply with GMP, safety and engineering requirements.
- Investigate recurring HVAC failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in energy-efficiency and utility optimisation initiatives.
- Support audits and regulatory inspections.
- Prepare maintenance and performance reports.
Qualifications & Experience - Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- 4â5 years of relevant experience.
- Previous pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is required/preferred.
- Experience with BMS and controlled-environment HVAC systems is highly desirable.
Key Competencies - Strong HVAC and BMS knowledge.
- Troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of GMP requirements.
- Good documentation skills.
- Ability to work shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Diploma / Engineering Degree
