Duties and Responsibilities of Human Resource (HR) Manager 1. Handling day to day HR questions and helping resolve work-related problems. 2. Communicating company policies and procedures & Promote understanding within the organization. 3. Shall conduct recruiting activities including sourcing and screening applicants, maintaining recruiting systems, drafting offer letters, providing follow-through with candidates, supporting hiring managers, and reporting recruiting statistics. 4. Updating job descriptions; assist in classifying positions as needed for company. 5. Providing advice and assistance when conducting staff performance evaluations. 6. Identifying staff training needs and development opportunities. 7. Providing basic counseling to staff who have performance related obstacles. 8. Providing support to top management in developing human resource plans. 9. Administering employee benefit programs, answer employee questions, support claim resolution, and maintain related systems. 10. Conducting staff performance reviews & provides employees and managers with information about the process, policies, job duties, and spearheading promotion processes. 11. Ensure a consistent filing system is put in place & confidentiality of the HR Information is guaranteed & orderly achieving of official HR docs. 12. Ensure that all exit processes are in compliance with the organizational policies, national employment laws and regulations. 13. Control & ensure permanent monitoring of HR metries. 14. Review & submit weekly & monthly recruitment reports. 15. Review & submit monthly staff leave accruals. Welfare Issues 16. Carry out work inspections & ensure that all health & safety measures are in place. 17. Keep records of accident hazards & carry out compensations of workers affected. 16. Ensure staff/guards food is available, prepared in time & served appropriately. 17. Ensure availability of uniform & all safety gears at all times & ensure staff compliance in using them. 18. Make sure that organization is in line with health & safety standard regulations. Qualification for a HR Manager -  Bachelorâs Degree in Human resource management, Social sciences, Arts or related discipline.
- He or she should have Knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with peers and employees; ability to present information and make recommendations effectively in oral and written form. Proficient computer skillsÂ
- An HR manager should be good in judgment; approachable and professional; solid problem-solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks; self-motivated; well organized.
- Should be conversant with the labor laws of Uganda
