JOB DETAILS: Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan. On behalf of our client, we are looking for competent, skilled, and experienced Human Resources Manager to work in Uganda. JOB SUMMARY The Human Resource /Admin Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices among others. They will support the day-to-day operations of the company. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES HR Management • Develop and execute HR Policy guidelines of the company • Understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning. • Grievance handling • Employee relations management • Discipline management • Employee Welfare management • Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified individuals, particularly for managerial and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. • Advise management on HR best practices • Motivate staff • Building and promoting the organization culture with guidance of the company vision, mission, core values. Health and Safety Management • Develop and implement safety protocols on the company premises. • Ensure that there is a safety committee to handle staff safety issues • Ensure presence of emergency care kits to support staff in case of accidents • Managing staff insurance related matters Compliance Management • HR Policy review to ensure that the working policy documents are in line with the prevailing labor laws as amended from time to time • Ensure that the company processes protect and safeguard the company against any legal issues. • Ensure proper documentation of all staff related issues Performance Management, Training and Development • Identifying performance gaps and recommending necessary training to improve the performance of the teams • Creating learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees. • Conducting performance evaluations • Recommending promotions for staff growth QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, Industrial and • Organizational Psychology or related field required • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR Management with at least 2 years at managerial • Level • Leadership and coaching skills • Strategic management skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Presentation, analytical and writing skills • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations • Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software Work Hours: 8
