The role supports the full employee lifecycle with a focus on employee relations, statutory compliance, payroll administration, learning and development, and general HR operations within a manufacturing environment. - Serve as the primary contact for employee grievances, disciplinary proceedings, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations, industry regulations, and internal company policies.
- Monitor and interpret employment legislation and advise management on regulatory changes.
- Manage disciplinary and dismissal procedures in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Conduct employee investigations, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with supervisors and shift managers to maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Coordinate end-to-end payroll processing in collaboration with the Finance Department.
- Ensure accurate and timely salary payments for permanent, shift-based, and contract employees.
- Maintain payroll records, including: Overtime, Shift allowances, Deductions, Statutory contributions (NSSF, PAYE, etc.)
- Administer employee benefits such as: Health insurance, Leave entitlements, Statutory benefits
- Support salary benchmarking and compensation review exercises.
- Address payroll-related employee inquiries.
- Conduct Training Needs Assessments (TNAs) with departmental heads.
- Identify skills gaps across production, quality assurance, and support functions.
- Design, coordinate, and evaluate training programs, including: Safety inductions, Technical skills training, Leadership development programs
- Maintain employee training records.
- Ensure compliance with mandatory certifications and safety requirements.
- Support onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
- Monitor and report Learning & Development KPIs, including: Training hours, Training completion rates, Post-training performance outcomes
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Manage HR databases and documentation.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics, including: Headcount reports, Employee turnover, Absenteeism, Training metrics
- Support the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate employee performance appraisal processes.
- Guide managers on performance management procedures.
- Labor law and statutory compliance knowledge.

- Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Bachelor's Degree in: Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Related field
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or FMCG environments preferred.
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases.
- Experience conducting disciplinary hearings.
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Experience designing and implementing training and development programs.
