This role provides hands-on support across recruitment, employee documentation, interview coordination, engagement, and general HR administration, often across multiple client accounts. The ideal candidate is organised, discreet, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment. Key Responsibilities - Support recruitment activities: job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and recruitment documentation
- Assist with new employee onboarding and orientation
- Ensure all required employee documentation is completed and properly filed
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files (physical and electronic)
- Update and maintain HR databases, trackers, and HRIS systems
- Assist with preparing employment contracts, HR letters, and other HR documents
- Track attendance, leave, probation, and employee confirmation timelines
- Support performance management processes, including appraisals and documentation
- Assist with disciplinary and employee relations matters, maintaining strict confidentiality
- Respond to routine employee inquiries; escalate complex matters to the HR Manager
- Support training coordination, staff meetings, and other HR activities
- Support compliance with labour laws, company policies, and HR procedures
- Assist with payroll preparation and verification of employee information as needed
- Prepare basic HR reports and maintain accurate records
- Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned by the HR Manager
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field
- 1â2 years of relevant HR or administrative experience
- Basic knowledge of HR principles and practices; working knowledge of Uganda's labour laws is an added advantage
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets)
- Strong organisational, time-management, and follow-up skills
- Close attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Professional, proactive, and people-oriented approach
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and grow within the HR field
