The HR/Admin Manager will provide sound, efficient and accountable administration of human resources and administrative functions. This includes overseeing the general administrative and Human Resource function of the company under the direct supervision of the Branch Manager.
Duties And Responsibilities
Human resource duties
‚óŹ Develop and maintain functional and efficient human resources management and
administration systems, processes, and procedures.
‚óŹ Spearhead human resource planning, forecasting and track deployment, in line with the
‚óŹ Support management in the development, review and compliance with the
organizational HR policy and ensure compliance with the employment Act and all
national labour laws.
‚óŹ Guide management and staff on employment law and statutory obligations as well as
Asaak‚Äôs own employment policies and procedures.
‚óŹ Execute employee screening and selection processes while developing and maintaining
up to date job descriptions for all positions.
‚óŹ Ensure that all staff have valid employment contracts and appointment letters.
‚óŹ Conduct induction and orientation for all new employees.
‚óŹ Undertake staff capacity needs assessment, spearhead the professional development
planning and execution based on the needs and capacities of the company.
‚óŹ Maintain health, safety and welfare of all employees including ensuring work life
balance and safety measures at all times.
‚óŹ Support the management team in implementing grievance and disciplinary procedures
‚óŹ Participate in and facilitate staff mediations and tribunals, terminations, etc. as
‚óŹ Coordinate the different service providers with the help of the Administrative staff and
ensure timely delivery of services.
‚óŹ Manage and coordinate all administrative tasks with the guidance and supervision of
the branch manager.
‚óŹ Monitoring and reporting on staff performance including attendance and performance
appraisal and evaluation to ensure quality and consistency.
‚óŹ Preparation of quarterly and annual reports in a timely manner in the administrative
‚óŹ Oversee the proper maintenance of office facilities including ICT infrastructure.
‚óŹ Manage arrangements for the Board and Sub-Committee meetings, including
production/distribution of agenda and papers with the assistance of the administrative
‚óŹ Provide administrative support to the Branch Manager in scheduling all meetings.
‚óŹ Execute any other administrative tasks as deemed appropriate.
‚óŹ Oversee and supervise the Front desk officer/Admin assistant, whilst implanting the
front desk and corporate affairs
‚óŹ Guide and mentor the Front desk officer/Admin assistant in effectively communicating
to external stakeholders and providing customer care services.
Qualifications and Experience:
‚óŹ The applicant must hold a Bachelor‚Äôs Degree in Business Administration, Human
Resource or any related field. Any additional qualification in human resource
management will be a plus.
‚óŹ 2+ years of experience in human resource and administrative duties in any established
‚óŹ Knowledge of Uganda Labor laws, compliance requirements and market demands and
‚óŹ Conversant with people and performance management processes and practices.
‚óŹ Good experience in Office Administration.
‚óŹ Team working, and
‚óŹ Leadership and management skills.
‚óŹ Analytical skills.
‚óŹ Pays attention to detail.
