Job Description/Requirements Job Summary: The Hotel & Catering Tutor is responsible for instructing students in food preparation, kitchen management, and hospitality services to prepare them for successful careers in the hotel and catering industry. The tutor will oversee practical cooking sessions and offer guidance on health and safety standards in a professional kitchen. Key Responsibilities: - Teach courses on hotel operations, food preparation, and customer service, ensuring students gain hands-on experience in a kitchen setting.
- Conduct practical cooking sessions, guiding students on various culinary techniques and presentation skills.
- Teach food safety, hygiene standards, and inventory management to prepare students for work in hotels, restaurants, and catering companies.
- Organize student-led catering events to provide real-world experience in managing large-scale food preparation.
- Continuously update course content to incorporate modern culinary trends and hotel management technologies.
Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.
- 2+ years of teaching or industry experience.
- Professional culinary certification is an added advantage.
- Strong culinary skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
