HORECA Sales Representative job at African Labour Solutions (ALS)

GENERAL PURPOSE

Our client, a leading company in the FMCG industry, is looking to recruit a highly motivated and results-driven HORECA Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities, grow sales, and manage key customer relationships within the Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering (HORECA) sector.

• Manage and grow existing HORECA customer accounts while maintaining strong customer relationships to enhance retention and satisfaction.
• Conduct daily customer visits in line with the approved call schedule and ensure consistent customer engagement.
• Receive, verify, coordinate, and monitor customer orders received through phone, email, WhatsApp, and other communication channels, ensuring timely order fulfilment and customer feedback.
• Identify, recruit, and onboard new HORECA customers while introducing and existing products to both prospective and existing clients.
• Identify opportunities for customized product offerings, recommend product improvements based on customer needs, and participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and tender opportunities to drive business growth.
• Ensure compliance with the company's credit policy by following up on outstanding customer payments, coordinating payment allocations and reconciliations, and facilitating timely issuance of credit and debit notes.
• Develop and implement quarterly promotional plans, identify branding and merchandising opportunities, and support customer engagement initiatives such as loyalty programmes and product sampling in collaboration with the marketing team.
• Receive, document, investigate, and escalate customer complaints where necessary, coordinate with the Quality Control team during investigations, respond promptly to customer inquiries, and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and confidence.
• Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, customer visit reports, prospecting updates, sales activity records, and customer retention performance reports.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

• Experience managing key customer accounts and business development activities.
• Knowledge of credit management and customer relationship management is an added advantage.

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in sales, preferably within the FMCG or HORECA sector.
