Job summary: The HMIS specialist will lead data quality assurance (DQAs), report validation, and routine assessments. Key responsibilities: - Supporting ongoing data quality assurance (DQA) activities at the national and provincial levels.
- Monitor the completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of HMIS data, and support corrective action planning.
- Provide technical assistance to strengthen data collection, reporting processes and data flow within national systems such as DHIS2.
- To train provincial staff on the tools, indicators, data analysis and interpretation of HMIS.
- Supporting the development and dissemination of HMIS guidelines, SOPs, employment aids and training materials.
- Assist with remote support supervision and technical assistance.
- Participate in technical working groups and contribute to planning, monitoring and reporting activities.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in public health, epidemiology, health informatics, statistics, computer science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in strengthening HMIS, data management or digital health in DRC.
- Hands-on experience with DHIS2 configuration, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in conducting DQAs, providing support supervision and capacity building.
- Experience working with government health systems and donor-funded programs.
