Job Summary
The HIV/TB Care and Treatment Officer is responsible for technical assistance to ensure timely and quality attainment and sustenance of HIV epidemic control interventions in supported districts.
Overall Responsibilities
1. Design, monitor and report on key activities related to HIV/AIDS/TB treatment scale up.
2. Support mentoring activities for Health workers and District Health Teams in relation to HIV/AIDS/TB care and treatment.
3. Support roll out of National HIV treatment guidelines and related guidelines in HIV/TB care.
4. Provide on call/distance TA support for the handling of complicated HIV/AIDS/TB cases.
5. Support Quality Assurance of HIV/TB services at facilities and recommend corrective action.
6. Provide technical assistance in planning related to HIV/AIDS/TB care and treatment
7. Provide team lead roles for the field office technical supervisory teams.
8. Any other duties as may be assigned
Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
· Bachelorâs degree in medicine (MBChB), or a health-related degree.
· Additional training and experience in HIV/AIDS and TB clinical management.
· Additional post-graduate training will be of added advantage.
· At least 3 years of experience working with district led programming in HIV/TB
3 Years Relevant Experience
